Oiled wood lives: it takes up moisture, releases it again and develops a patina. Four habits help it along.
- Do not wipe wet: A slightly damp cloth is enough, then rub dry.
- Use coasters: Hot pots and damp glasses leave marks.
- Oil once a year: Apply the supplied oil along the grain.
- Accept scratches: Small marks can be removed with fine sandpaper and oil.
